Unas Student Dies After Protest

National University [UNAS] student named Maftuh Fauzi died on Friday after detained by the police for around 13 days, then treated at two different hospitals in Jakarta.Maftuh Fauzi was among 31 students arrested at dawn on May 24 and detained for nearly two weeks in South Jakarta police.
The arrest followed a protest against rising fuel prices by hundreds of students at their campus in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. The protest was laid when the two students and police threw stones at each other. Read the rest of this entry »
